Have you been considering whether or not to buy a Petcube Pet Camera? We hope that this review will help you make an educated decision to purchase one or not.
Why Have a Pet Camera?
Are you like us and have several pets that free roam while you’re away at work?
As you know, they can get into some trouble when not supervised! When you have more than one it can be difficult to determine who the troublemaker is. Unless, of course, the culprit still has potted plant dirt on their face or toilet paper stuck to their paw.
However, if that were the case you would likely not be researching pet camera options right now.
That’s why you might need some help to spy while you’re away. Luckily, the Petcube Pet Camera can do more than just spy!

My Petcube Pet Camera Review
In summary, we think the Petcube Pet Camera is a great pet cam option.
Overall, we like the versatility of the models, features and subscription choices that are offered. There are so many ways to mix and match, there is sure to be an option for everyone. Of course, some people prefer the most simple option, while others love all of the bells and whistles.
Personally, we like the Petcube Bites 2 model as it provides a ton of features for our dogs, while also using the most advanced technology which is constantly being updated. We also have cats but we don’t think they would interact with the laser play feature and our dogs ignore lasers altogether.
Additionally, the “Petcube Care” subscription is relatively inexpensive for the most popular Optimal plan ($47.88 per year if paid annually or $3.99 per month). Choose the highest level Premium plan for about $5 more per month. The basic plan only offers live video streaming, but it is free. We think it’s reasonable and fairly standard to expect some type of subscription fee for enhanced features.
As expected, some feedback from reviews indicates that there are frustrations with the treat tossing feature not working as advertised. Also, the video resolution has been reported as being grainy and the night vision feature may not pick up movement. Apparently it can have a tendency to fall over if bumped on a table (when your cat or dog knocks it over). I suppose that can be expected with anything though, right?
